Get on board

Ligne Onze is a collective of artists who travel on the same fictitious line, in the same train, and meet regularly around common themes, creating new stops. I've long been fascinated by the universe of the metro. It's a place where everyone travels at the same speed, in the same space, regardless of age, origin or situation. It's a place that unconsciously brings together thousands of stories that intersect without ever interfering with one another. Ligne Onze wants to develop a physical world in which people connect. Each stop will be marked by an event, to highlight the themes and projects of the artists on board, and thus take passengers on a tour. Welcome aboard.

Ticket

The Ligne Onze ticket will give access to the different events organized (evenings, exhibitions, readings, performances...). They will be distributed at these events, but also in places with which Ligne Onze collaborates (bookshops, bars, galleries).

First Stop

Take a Seat is the first stop on Ligne Onze. It explores our relationship with the sensation of being alone with ourselves. Photographers, poets, filmmakers, painters, musicians and fashion designers will present, each in their own way, what it feels like to be alone. It can be a meditative moment, a reconnection with oneself, a source of inspiration, but also a moment of anguish, difficulty or unchosen isolation. Artists will first express this sensation through the medium of their choice (painting, photography, illustration, sculpture), in an abstract or very concrete way. They will then write, by hand, a short page about their work, its meaning and its history. Finally, if they wish, they can share their feelings about the sensation by recording a short podcast.

Exhibition

Take a Seat will be brought to life during an exhibition in a gallery or space in Paris. Each work will be presented with a scenography that will be developed with each artist to reflect their intentions as closely as possible. These scenographies will include the artist's work, handwritten text and a QR code for the podcast.

Book

The Take a Seat book will be launched at the exhibition. In this book, a retrospective of each artist's vision of the sensation of being with oneself: his or her work, manifesto and podcast accessible via a QR code.
